For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a deep love for wild places and epic adventures. My journey began as a river guide - charging through rapids and exploring remote trails. Like many, I started with basic first aid training. But it didn’t take long to realize something crucial: Standard first aid just doesn’t cut it when you’re hours, or days away from help.
I was responsible for the safety of my team and clients in rugged, unpredictable environments. I needed more than bandages and CPR. So I dove deep, investing in wilderness-specific training, and eventually became an Advanced Life Support and Expedition Paramedic.
And here’s the #1 thing I’ve learned after years of real-world experience in the Amazon jungle, high-altitude mountains, and remote rivers:
You don’t need a medical degree or years of expensive training to handle backcountry emergencies like a pro.
That’s exactly why I created the Essential Wilderness Life Support (EWLS) course—so that people like you can get the same life-saving knowledge and skills, without the time or cost I invested.
I built this course from the ground up, combining real expedition lessons with proven emergency protocols. It’s everything I wish I had when I was starting out. You don’t need to spend years like I did. You can get wilderness-ready in weeks.
Whether you're a weekend warrior, expedition leader, or just love exploring off the grid - this course is designed to make you the most prepared person on the trail. If you're ready to feel confident in the outdoors and capable in an emergency, join the thousands who’ve already transformed their skills.
Now It’s Your Turn to Be Ready for Anything Outdoors
This course appropriate for those who spend a lot of time outdoors and in remote locations (professionally or recreationally). Ideal for Search & Rescue Teams, Exploration Groups, Adventure Guides, Backpackers, Day-Hikers and anyone who enjoys going in the outdoors.

The sky is blue due to something called 'Rayleigh scattering'. Light interacts with the air and scatters. However unlike normal scattering (like you would have with a light in a room), this scattering is proportional to the wavelength of the light. Hence higher frequency light (like blue light) is scattered more strongly, while the other colors tend to follow the path of normal sunlight!
